I want to be able to got to my ftp ip address and not be asked a password and have it load up "/home/jon/Documents/notes" so once im in the notes dir i can click on other dir's like windows notes,linux notes, ect , ect.

heres my vsftpd.conf file , what do i need to add or change.

This can be done by setting up your ~/.netrc file.

I have no idea how to do this,what this is or where its located,

Also, do not use FTP. It is insecure and inefficient. Set up SSH/SFTP.

I'm only playing with ftp/vsftpd in a test environment to learn/play around with.

Use below options in vsftpd.conf file and restart ftp.

anonymous_enable=yes
anon_root=/home/jon/Documents/notes

Also check the file folder permission of /home/jon/Documents/notes.

default the /home/jon folder doesn't have an access to ftp service. Needs to check accordingly.

Also make consideration of selinux.
