I launched DHCP recently and it worked very nice and my windows clients can get IP from Linux server but for launch a PDC what is your idea? I want to create "linux-d.j" domain and join Windows clients to it but my Windows clients must read and logging from OpenLdap server. some documents in internet setup Samba and create account in it for Logging Windows clients but I don't like it. I want my Clients use OpenLdap for read Username and password.

This guidance user Samba for logging windows client :

Yes, use Samba.
Or a Windows server.
Or write your own reimplementation of MS AD.

Use Samba

To run Linux as an Active Directory domain controller, you need three things:
1. DHCP to lease addresses to clients;
2. BIND server to provide DNS services
3. Samba to provide Domain Controller function.

The setup will vary between distros, but if you google for "Linux domain controller" you will get about 1.5 Million hits and the first page will be littered with howtos

Hope this helps

Jim

You right but I want to know it is logical if I use Samba just for Domain controller and OpenLdap for authentication? If I config Samba for authentication users then I want create an account for each user in my sever and it is not good.
