how can i install the software using synaptic package manager in remotemachine

Hi

i had installed software package in my local ubuntu machine by using synaptic package manager. i have many more ubuntuserver in remote place whetherthere is any possibilty to install the package what i had install in local machine as it as in my remote machine..

i found out the package installed in my local ubuntu machine by synaptic package machine
dpkg --get-selections > installed-software

its shows like these
acpi-support install
acpid install
adduser install
adium-theme-ubuntu install
aisleriot install

i moved the installed-software to my remote ubuntu server
and i typed follwoing command
dpkg --get-selections < installed-software

but the package its int get installed in my remote machine .......

You just have given the remote machines a new packages list, but you have to tell the remote machine to actually install (or deinstall) it. You can do this with:

apt-get dselect-upgrade

Be aware that this operation will install all the software that is installed on your local system, but also will remove that packages that are not installed on the local system.
