"How can I configure pure-ftp in my CentOS server in non-anonymous mode?"

Hi, although I am new to linux and its working, I am trying to configure a ftp server (pure-ftp) where I am using CentOS 5.5. I would like to receive some guidelines and suggestion to configure this server.
