help with directory server certificate
hi.
i've installed directory server in a fedora 12 box, i got it running and i can access it using coldfusion to manage users and groups. i hit a snag when creating a user, this because coldfusion cannot generate a password, the directory server needs a certificate and a ssl connection. so i started googling for a way to generate and install a certificate on the server itself and in the directory. now come you guys, i need a little help in generating the certificate. this is my administration server and directory(it's novabase directory) not the other one. http://www.flickr.com/photos/23240927@N03/4551777516/ help would be appreciated thanks in advance |
anyone??
can anyone give some help about this? i've been following this, but i'm having a little bit of difficulty in generating the certificate that matches my directory server. help would be appreciated. |
Try this SSL Certificate HOWTO
|
going to check it out
|
i've followed this, and managed to create the certificate for the server.
|
going to export it and try it in coldfusion server and see if i can connect to it using ssl
|
just imported the certificate to the coldfusion server, and tried to connect to the directory server, it outputs me that the connection failed.
went to the directory server and tried connecting to the server using this https://server:636, and it gives me this if i click in accept, it shows me this. what's the problem here? can anoyone give some help? |
It looks like your server is requiring a client certificate. See if there is a config option to disable that.

sorry for the late reply, i was exporting and importing to coldfusion the wrong certificate.
i managed to get working now. thanks for the help once again guys. |
