Question Help needed for postfix setup


we already having mail server which is handled by some isp that it runnig on pop3 & smtp protocol, smtp authentication is also required for outoing server.
i want to configure postfix for my local network so can my local network users can download the mails from postfix server.

Can anybody help me to set it up

Postfix isn't a POP3 server. It is an SMTP server only. Please be clear what you want!

i habe pop3 server & also authentication on the outgoing smtp server.
so can i configure postfix on this ????
& if not than what is the other option i can use.
