More information is required please. What are you running (and on what platform)? Can you tell us what you need to do and what are the options you have to choose from?

Your post is not any more urgent than any other post.

I use rsync to backup 3 computers to my server, with a cron job, so that it happens every night whilst I sleep.

Issue "man rsync" and "man crontab" to read about these programs.

This is what my crontab looks like:
#This is to backup silas/mingdao every morning at 1:00 a.m.
#00 1 * * * rsync -va --exclude=WinXP.img --exclude=scratch.img -e "ssh -o BatchMode=yes -o user=root -i /root/.ssh/identity.silas" wired_silas:~mingdao /backup2/silas/

#This is to backup peter/anna every morning at 1:30 a.m.
30 1 * * * rsync -vaz -e "ssh -o BatchMode=yes -o user=root -i /root/.ssh/identity.peter" peter:~anna /backup2/peter/

#This is to backup titus/mingdao every morning at 3:30 a.m.
30 3 * * * rsync -vaz -e "ssh -o BatchMode=yes -o user=root -i /root/.ssh/identity.titus" titus:~mingdao /backup2/titus/
