frsh centos5.3 install. goes kernel panic after reboot.

Hi.

The first server I installed installed fine. The second server, installed with the same config, went to "kernel panic not syncing no init found try passing init= option in kernel" error. I tried reinstalling but it keeps going to that error after install reboot. The storage is ISCSI connected via Intel Server Adapter, which allows it to boot from ISCSI. The first server also has that same config and is working fine. What could be causing this? Is there a way I can get to fstab to check the mount points?

Please advice.

Thanks

Can you try booting off a liveCD and manually mounting the drive to see if there's an issue there?

Just try to interrupt boot process at grub stage, and pass an argument to grub to explicitly boot into init 3. Let us know if that is working

i tried to boot at init 3 but that didn't do the trick.

however, I found what's causing the problem and it's booting now.

Looks like the 8GB of RAM i had were not compatible. 4 were ECC and the other 4 were not, which all along I thought were all ECC lol....

Thanks for the help guys! Much appreciated
