Fail to start postfix


Hi folks,

CentOS 4.4 server amd64

Failed to start postfix

# /etc/init.d/postfix start
Code:
Starting postfix:                                          [FAILED]
# /etc/init.d/saslauthd restart
Code:
Stopping saslauthd:                                        [  OK  ]
Starting saslauthd:                                        [  OK  ]
Pls advise where to check and how to fix the problem. TIA

have you even looked in the postfix log files themselves??

Solved

Hi folks,

I got my problem fixed.

Many long statement on /etc/postfix/main.cf were pushed to next line causing crash. They did not wrap. After fixed all of them manually postfix started.

i'd suggest maybe trying for an extra 24 hours before you start another thread here hext time? believe in yourself and you can achieve anything!
