Fail to connect to SVN server

My SVN server is acting up. When I try to update my files, I get the following message:

Command Update
Error OPTIONS of 'http://selserver.***.edu/svn/RTcontrol/trunk/posterfiles': 200 OK (http://selserver.***.edu)
Finished!

Other SVN users got the same message, so I think the problem is caused by server.

I tried to restart the server, but doesn't help. I also tried " ps -ax |more" to see the running process and I found "svnserve -d" does exist. Is it possible that the port was occupied by other process? How can I check/change the port?

thanks& regards

BZF

Since you're using http, Have you checked the http server logs - can you post any error messages that were there please?
