We have an old server that was given to us. It has four 37GB SCSI drives which is rather small. So that's RAID1 for the OS, but we need storage.
These are the devices available for use: 2 PCI-X 64bit/133MHz slots, 1 PCI-Express v1.0 slot, 1 FireWire, and 1 External SCSI Port. Here's "lspci -k":

I'm looking for suggestions to attach four 1TB Seagate SATA drives for storage. Tried a Sans Digital Tower RAID device but the driver for the eSATA card does not work with 2.6.37.6 kernel. The last one it mentions is 2.6.31 ... neither Sans Digital, nor HighPoint (it was their RocketRaid 622) could provide a new driver, so I RMAed the unit.
The two NICs are being used ... one for internet to the server, the other from it to a managed switch. We could attach something to the gigabit switch.
