Hi,

Where is this software, I have done a quick google search is this what you mean? http://connectivity.opentext.com/products/exceed.aspx

There should be a README with the program...

What are you using the software for? And what is your end goal?

First
install a supported version of Fedora
Fedora 16 is past it's End Of Life
there is and never will be any support for it

install Fedora 18

then install "Exceed "

mind you Fedora is a VERY bad choice for installing on a server
it's lifespan is WAY TOO SHORT

I would recommend CentOS 6.4 or the NOT free RHEL 6.4
you are after all buying Exceed
so RHEL would be a good choice

Exceed is an X emulator for Windows...you don't install ANY part of it on Linux at all.

Read the instructions from Exceed, and those are VERY OBVIOUS things. The Host would be the address/name of the Linux host you want to connect to. The user ID and password are (very obviously), YOUR USER ID AND PASSWORD on the Linux server. The command is the command you want to run. Simple. All that is explained in the Exceed documentation, which you need to READ and understand.

The rexec method may not work AT ALL, since rexec is insecure, and disabled on most servers. A remote X session is preferable, but you need to start the X server on the Linux system without the "--nolisten" parameter.
