etablish one connection ppp between a client ppp and a server ppp


hello

i have a problem to etablish a connection ppp between a windows ppp and linux ppp.i create one distant connection with the setting of new connection distant. The client ppp is on the terminal server on linux. when the PC windows xp calls the terminal server linux, the terminal sends the strange caracters. as loginpassw#)+£#+). it don't allow me to identify, and the connection ppp doesn't etablish, i don't what do i do.

Are you really trying to connect the two boxes through a PHONE line? If that's the case, make sure both endpoints use PAP authentication (see man pppd, you probably need to configure /etc/ppp/pap-secrets)

But if you are trying to establish a connection over an IP network (creating a VPN), better use some software specifically designed to do that, like OpenVPN.
