Error on sharing

Get a 'net usershare' returned error 255: net usershare add: share name mike is already a valid system user name' on sharing my server, so it can appear on (mainly) windoze 10 machines.

The server itself uses Ubuntu 14.04 LTS.

Please help me.

The error message seems to be pretty clear that "mike" is already in use. Have you checked for the other "mike" that the system is seeing?

More information would likely be useful. You might want to look at this, if you haven't already done so: http://www.linuxquestions.org/linux/...Ask_a_Question

I did a

sshd
mdh
mike@server:~$

and there's only one 'mike' in the list.

How do I check what powers are attached to mike?
The user mdh I created as well. Not logged in with user mdh yet as the system says it's blocked.
