Error on server, works great for about 10min, then slows down. and hangs
I set up a Fadora 12 Server on a Intell Dual Core CPU and 2 gigs of Ram.
I manages to get the server running, and MySQL installed and running. ProFTPD is running, and so is ISPConfig.
The problen is when I 1st start the server I can access my website, and it seems to be running just fine, I can access it both over the web, and by FTP. After jumping around from page to page for a little bit, it starts slow down, and then just hang. Have to reboot the server to get it working again.
When I check the error log. I get this error. over and over again. Not sure what it means.
httpd' failed unexpectedly
Can't locate Date/Format.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /usr/local/lib64/perl5/site_perl/5.10.0/x86_64-linux-thread-multi /usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.10.0 /usr/lib64/perl5/vendor_perl/5.10.0/x86_64-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.10.0 /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl /usr/lib64/perl5/5.10.0/x86_64-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/5.10.0 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl) at /usr/local/ispconfig/server/scripts/vlogger line 147.
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/local/ispconfig/server/scripts/vlogger line 147.
piped log program ' /usr/local/ispconfig/server/scripts/vlogger -s access.log -t "%Y%m%d-access.log" -d "/etc/vlogger-dbi.conf" /var/log/ispconfig/
And it just keeps repeating the same error, and my log file just keeps growing.
I'm very new at Linux, so I don't know where to look, can someone help me?
The log indicates that the Perl module Date/Format.pm isn't installed. Presumably, you should be able to find that on CPAN. I haven't used Perl for years, there may be some new, improved way of installing modules by now.
That may not be the only thing slowing down your server, but installing that missing package should at least get rid of that one error.
Thanks for the replay, I will give that a try, I thought Perl was already installed, but maybe not.
Thanks again
Michael
OK I tried that, but it didn't work, so I know there was a line in the error about ISPConfig3, so I uninstalled it, and then reinstalled it, and my error went away. Seems to be working now. I think the problem was the MySQL database disappeared, because when I did the uninstall, it told me to make sure I remove that database, but it wasn't there..

Anyway I all appears to be working right now.
Thanks for the help.

OK I guess I spoke too soon, afer accessing my Website again, I started getting the same error, so it is clearly connected to ISPConfig3.
I did a search for just the error it self. "/usr/local/lib64/perl5/site_perl/5.10.0/x86_64-linux-thread-multi " And it came up with the right file to install, after that it is all really working now. it was a Perl mod ver 5, after installing it, the error went away,
I have cleared the error file, and it has not come back even after accessing the website a lot.
