Error Compiling L7-Filter


Hello guys
i am running RHEL5.3.
my bandwidth is completely choked with p2p applications, i configured ipp2p to block torrents but it wasnt blocking p2p.
so i thought to configure l7-filter, while compiling i got some error in patching file ip_conntrack_core.c and i skipped it.. kindly help

here is the details..

[root@auth 2.6.18-164.el5PAE-i686]# patch -p1 < /usr/src/netfilter-layer7-v2.22/for_older_kernels/kernel-2.6.18-2.6.19-layer7-2.9.patch

Since this hasn't been replied to for a week or more, I'll start.

I'm not sure what you are asking. It looks to me like you want to compile a kernel module, that you are running an older kernel than the current one, and that you want to apply a patch to the source.

I guess the first question is, is this a valid patch for the kernel version you are using? I wonder if it is, since it appears to want to patch non-existent source files. There is no ip_conntrack_core.c in my src (2.6.27), and googling seems to indicate it disappeared somewhere around the .16-.19 versions.

Did the compile actually work?
