echo 0 /proc/sys/kernel/hung_task_timeout


Hi
I installed Veritas on redhat 6.3 on 2 nodes and when i restart node2 This message comes
( info task vgs 15035 vlocked for more than 120 secondes.
echo 0 /proc/sys/kernel/hung_task_timeout_secs disables )


This message comes every 120 seconds and i can not access to the system .
Please Help.

I don't know Veritas, but that message and the behaviour you describe usually come from a process waiting for I/O.

I would check all block devices are accessible, first of all.

I have an HP ... that is connected to an EVA6400 SAN.

I installed Redhat 6-3 successfully and configured multipathd without any problems. After apower failure; the system hangs on boot with a message that says:

info task vgs 15035 vlocked for more than 120 secondes.
echo 0 /proc/sys/kernel/hung_task_timeout_secs disables

I booted into rescue mood with a disk and mounted all my disks on all the LVMs and they were all visible and intact.

I've found the solution just updated multipath
