dracut: FATAL: Don't know how to handle

Hi

I am trying to setup a KickStart Installation server use PXE Boot. DHCP Server is setup and running fine.

pxelinux.0, vmlinuz and initrd.img files are transferred using tftp.

Disk sda is detected but has not data on it, this is the target drive to install RHEL 6.3 onto.

I understand that the root filesystem should point to install.img and this is where I am getting stuck.

RHEL 6.3 seems to have some kernel changes.

I've read so many guides that I am confused.

I am not sure if this bug relates to this issue or not.

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=785815

Obviously the rdshell is added for debugging purposes.

I can't find the live or http options documented in the dracut options. Do I have to use NFS instead ?
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Dracut/Options

In pxelinux.cfg/default

Code:
default linux
timeout 600
label linux
  kernel vmlinuz
  menu label Stage RHEL 6.x
append ksdevice=eth0 root=live:http://1.1.1.1/rhel-server-6.3-x86_64/images/install.img rootfstype=squashfs initrd=/initrd.img ks=http://1.1.1.1/server-123.ks selinux=0 rd_NO_LUKS rd_NO_DM rdshell
Code:
dracut: FATAL: Don't know how to handle 'root=live:http://1.1.1.1/rhel-server-6.3-x86_64/images/install.img
dracut Warning: dracut: Refusing to continue
Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init!
I'd be greatful for any pointers.

Thanks

So the problem was that I needed to use the initrd.img from the RHEL 6.3 CDROM under images/pxeboot/initrd.img which has full network functionality in the initial ramdisk.

I am certain that this posting will save lots of people considerable headaches :-)

thanks for posting this. there's a similar problem trying to PXE boot Fedora 19 xfce live - the initrd doesn't understand the root=live:http://example.com/blah

I've not found an initrd yet which seems to have this in dracut.
