Download a free s/w to remote solaris from windows
 

Hi all,
I was working with cygwin and now I get fatal error then I tried to uninstall and delete all the cygwin files and reinstall it again but it doest work and took lot of time.
So I want to find any best free download which can help me in meeting the purpose the same way as cygwin did.
I'm not an expert in this and basically from Mechanical background so, could you explain me in installing it too.
Can anyone please help me ASAP.

Anyways, if you are looking for tools like cygwin.. You can also try virtualization softwares like VMware Workstation, Parallel Workstation etc.
These will virtually create Linux(or Unix) environment on your windows m/c.

Hello Vikas thanks for ur quick help but actually I'm trying to find some free S/W with which i can connect remotely to SOLARIS as i used to work with Cygwin.
I was able to install Xming but was unable to start it.

i found that XconnectPRO is a good s/w but i think it's not a free s/w so could you please suggest me something similar but free download.
Or i would be glad if you help me in Downloading Cygwin in my comp.

Have you looked at putty ? http://dsv.su.se/en/projektx/en_arbhem
Provides telnet, ssh logins.
Alos, pscp (putty scp from the cmd line)
You may want Filezilla http://filezilla-project.org/ for ftp / sftp.
