Domino Telnet quit Message

When I telnet into the domino port on my linux box I have altered the HELO message to not say my machine name.

But How do I accomplish the same when i saw quit
it displays my hostname 221 hostname.domainname.com SMTP Service closing transmission channel

I want to change the hostname or get rid of it all together

Thanks

Can you please provide a more complete transcript of what's going on?

Thanks,
