Do I need more memory for my new Confluence server ?

Yesterday, I create a virtual machine to run Confluence for my personal ( ie I'm the only user ) Wiki. The system is very sluggish and I think that I might need to allocate it 1-2GB more RAM.

Code:
free -m
total used free shared buff/cache available
Mem: 1839 1635 73 12 129 34
Swap: 2047 1391 656
Code:
top - 23:39:18 up 19:59, 2 users, load average: 7.96, 8.17, 5.18
Tasks: 294 total, 1 running, 293 sleeping, 0 stopped, 0 zombie
%Cpu(s): 1.0 us, 1.1 sy, 0.0 ni, 28.4 id, 69.4 wa, 0.0 hi, 0.1 si, 0.0 st
KiB Mem : 1883748 total, 67160 free, 1698936 used, 117652 buff/cache
KiB Swap: 2097148 total, 686840 free, 1410308 used. 19672 avail Mem

PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND
 1648 conflue+ 20 0 4007620 1.080g 0 S 2.3 60.1 7:33.51 java
   31 root 20 0 0 0 0 S 1.6 0.0 0:34.41 kswapd0
 2034 conflue+ 20 0 3764828 94108 424 S 1.0 5.0 6:22.59 java

Specs:
Centos 7 64bit
2 CPU cores
2GB RAM
30GB hard drive

Thoughts? I plan on reading up on sar, htop, and other tools for analysis. In the meantime, I'd appreciate any advice from the community.

I added 1GB for a total of ~3GB ( 3096MB ) . The new free -m looks a lot better.

Quote:
-sh-4.2$ free -m
total used free shared buff/cache available
Mem: 2805 2299 111 22 394 233
Swap: 2047 0 2047

if swap was in use you need definitely add more RAM.
If that was a VM you can easily try that.
probably would be better to run confluence in docker instead of VM.
