dns cache server
 
hello minds,
i have squid server on 60 mb bandwidth
and about 5000 client
i installed dnsmasq on the same server to cache ns servers but the browsing slow down
now how i can cache nameservers ?
i need another machine ? and which program i must install on it to suffer this bandwidth and working with out problems ?

are you concerned about squid or DNS? You really should know which you think you need to work on, but it doesn't sound like you do. A successful DNS request will take a fraction of a second on just about any working connection. It's only when DNS servers start failing that delays are usually found around DNS. You certainly can deploy bind as a caching name server, but is that actually a problem for you?? http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/DNS-HOWTO-3.html
