dm-n name and wwid

Following 'multipath -ll' output clearly shows /dev/sdX name, dm-n name, wwid and mpathN name.

mpath56 (360060e800571e800000071e800001029) dm-49 HITACHI,OPEN-V
[size=50G][features=0][hwhandler=0][rw]
\_ round-robin 0 [prio=2][active]
\_ 0:0:1:41 sdcd 69:16 [active][ready]
\_ 1:0:1:41 sdcu 70:32 [active][ready]

However 'vgdisplay -v vg01' comes with following output (partially listed) in "physical volumes" section.

How do I find the wwid of the below disk "dm-76" ?

--- Physical volumes ---
PV Name /dev/dm-76
PV UUID Ssghrs-Zxlq-KqXG-FhTS-Nkfa-C92J-ShxOl8
PV Status allocatable
Total PE / Free PE 12799 / 0

Note : UUID listed above doesn't appear in 'blkid'.

I guess, run

Code:

multipath -ll |grep dm-76

It doesn't show it.

However later I got some tips from my team mate. Will write on Monday.

Following worked :

[root@xyz ~]# ls -l /dev /dev/mapper/ | grep dm-76
brw-rw---- 1 root root 253, 76 Jun 8 2012 dm-76

Now grep for major/minor numbers that appeared above.

[root@xyz ~]# ls -l /dev /dev/mapper/ | grep 253 | grep 76
brw-rw---- 1 root root 253, 76 Jun 8 2012 dm-76
brw-rw---- 1 root disk 253, 76 Jun 8 2012 mpath19p1

So the multipath device is mpath19, wwid of it can be found in 'multipath -ll'
