Dell powerEdage r410: no boot device available

Hi Guys,

I recently got a boot problem of Arch Linux installed on Dell PowerEdage r410.

The original problem is device-mapper: dm-linear: Device lookup failed, then I log into system through LiveCD and found all lvm device is not listed. So I run command vgscan --mknodes and reboot, then bios cannot find the boot device anymore with the error message:no boot device available.

/dev/md125 hold /boot

/dev/md125 is a raid1 device created from /dev/sda1 /dev/sdb1

another two raid device is /dev/md126 and /dev/md127
who are also two pv and created lvm from.

Any suggestion will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I think you need to re-run grub install or something similar, but can't be 100% sure.
