CUPS (1.6.3) on Linux 7 printing pdf smaller than CUPS(1.3.7) on Linux 5.


Hi
I have OEL7 (equivalent to RHEL7) and CUPS 1.6.3. PDF files are printed smaller thant on OEL5 with CUPS 1.3.7. This is a problem for me. Can anybody help?

RHEL offers paid support. Presuming you're not paying, you're better using something with wider support.

That aside, try opening http://localhost:631

If the cups server is running, that should open a configuration page. Otherwise, it's wrong/missing fonts. RHEL isn't fussy about stuff. It's 'EL' = Enterprise
Linux, so it's for servers, not for you, most likely.

Hi BusinessKid.
Thank you for the a bit personal answer.
I solved it using lpoptions, which really was repairing something, that originated elsewhere.
I guess I know as much about 'EL' as most, as I've working with it proffesionally in highly mission critical environments for a decade.And yes, I have paid support at Oracle.
