cron error by user in ubuntu

Hi,

I have ubuntu 10. I have setup cron which does not work by cron but its commands runs manually(no error)

even I am trying to login and check by user(which cron was running above) and run crontab -l getting error.

cannot chdir(/var/spool/cron), bailing out.
/var/spool/cron: Permission denied

Please help, this will be highly appriciable.

I have found and did , now getting the permission denied error. but cron is not working by cron

# chmod o+rx /var/spool/cron

Please help.
