Are you running nfs client on the Linux system you are trying to do this mount upon?

What distribution and version IS the Linux client?

Are you sure you've allowed export from the NetApp share to the IP range from which you're Linux client is attempting to mount?

Do you have multiple interfaces on the Linux client? If so have you verified the mount request is going out the interface to which the exports have been allowed?

What happens when you run "showmount -e 10.242.112.97" from the Linux client?

Hi MensaWater thanks for response.

Yes i am running linux client on same system. I am running Suse 11.4. Yes i am sure export rules are fine from netapp side. as i am able to mount through UDP. It is seen in picture which i attached. I have only 1 interface and also i have enabled mount audit log from netapp side so in case of permission issue i will see error in netapp which is not the case. Below is output when i am running showmount -e netapp_ip from linux client.

iza0600:~ # showmount -e 10.242.112.97
Export list for 10.242.112.97:
/vol/v_fs0044_2 (everyone)
/vol/v_fmabackup (everyone)
/vol/v_fs0008 (everyone)
/vol/v_home (everyone)
/vol/vol0 (everyone)
iza0600:~ #

Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately I don't have NetApp here.

This link shows a command to enable tcp on NetApp itself and has other information that may be helpful:
https://kb.netapp.com/support/s/arti...language=en_US

Have you tried disabling firewall (iptables or other) on your Ubuntu system then retrying the mount? Its possible you have some specialized rules preventing the connection.

Do you have a firewall device between the filer and the Ubuntu system that might be blocking this traffic on tcp?

Hi MensaWater, thanks again for response.

From netapp side nfs over TCP is already on. This was working fine before 2-3 days . All of sudden mount points got stalled and now we are not able to mount them back. I have checked by doing telnet from linux client to NetApp IP on nfs port like 2049 , portmapper port 111 and it is working fine. That is why i did not think it as firewall issue.

From linux client i have no firewall enabled . I have checked the iptables. is there anything else i should check from linux side ?

Try -o nolock option. I am not sure about sle11, but redhat5/6 had separate nfslock service to be started, otherwise nolock option should be used.
