Copied server drive, now crashes on loading ipmi drivers

I copied my entire server using tar and extracted it, did makedev, and got the box to boot. However, the new PC does not have a server board, and I believe that's what's causing the problem.

The box makes it to boot, but while loading the ipmi drivers, it simply shuts off. No errors are given.

It's a CentOS 5.2 with linux kernel 2.6.18
