Convert Linux ISC DHCP to Windows Netsh DHCP
Hello All,
I have a Linux Debian DHCP Server which has been running for almost 5 yrs. I am looking forward to build another DHCP Server on Windows Server 2008 as Backup DHCP in case my Debian DHCP fails. Grateful if you could suggest any solution where I can convert the ISC DHCP to a Netsh DHCP (Microsoft DHCP). Is there any tool available to convert the Linux Debian DHCP to a Windows DHCP? I have more than 30 subnets and 1000 IP. Many thanks if you could guide me through the steps if any available. |
I doubt it .. you'd probably just have to go with subnet splitting, having say %50 of each pool provided by each server but it would depend on how full each subnet is. No chance you can add another linux host? ... the ISC DHCP has builtin HA capabilities so wouldn't require any clustering etc.
