Connection to CentOs Server with OpenVPN... Then what?
We will be supporting a client who has a CentOs Web Server. I've been given an OpenVPN configuration that works to get me so far as I can ping the web server.
I am now at a loss. Normally, I can FTP into a site, download the files that I need (through Dreamweaver or other software) but I can't seem to get that kind of connection here. So I guess my question is, after I am on the OpenVPN, how do I access the files on the CentOs server. What program should I be using? I do have the credentials (username/pass) If it makes any difference, the server is 64-bit CentOs 5.4. Thanks in advance. Tony. |
If they haven't configured an ftp server then try connecting over sftp, Filezilla is a common choice for client software and is available on linux and windows.

I was able to get in tonight. I believe the problem was I wasn't using SFTP. Filezilla worked right away and I was able to see what I needed. Next project... Ruby.
