Conformation of how soft raid works with changing drive locations?

Due to the way devices can change their SDxy depending on where they are inserted into the sata ports and the fact that inserting a USB drive can also change the drive letters I want to confirm that with softraid this shouldn't matter?

from what I can tell, this is where the confirmation is required, starting an array using its UUID the system scans all disks and looks for partitions with matching UUID's so doesn't actually care what letters may or not be assigned to a SDx?

this is default behavior on modern distros.

On older (5+ years ago) ones, this could be an issue.
