Red face Configure Squid with SquidGuard on RHEL 4

I have configured the squid-2.5.STABLE6-3 with squidGuard-1.3 on RHEL4. The service is getting started successfully.

The problem is as follows :

I have typed the proxy id addr. & port in the proxy settings in browser. Now whenever i am typeing any url in browser, i have to enter a valid user-name and password for the proxy server. Here I am typeing the correct and valid password for the proxy but i am getting the same screen i.e.( asking the user-name and password ). This process continues 3 times and then a error page throws error as "ERROR : Cache Access Denied".

Can anybody please guide me in this regard ?

For authentication, I have used following lines in squid.conf

"auth_param basic program /usr/lib/squid/pam_auth
auth_param basic children 5
auth_param basic realm Squid proxy-caching web server
auth_param basic credentialsttl 2 hours".

The squidGaurd.conf file is as follows :

# CONFIG FILE FOR SQUIDGUARD
#

dbhome /usr/local/squidGuard/db
logdir /usr/local/squidGuard/log

dest porn {
domainlist BL/porn/domains
urllist BL/porn/urls
redirect http://mail.nic.in/
# redirect http://[redirectedwebsite]/
}

acl {

default {
pass !porn all
redirect http://mail.nic.in/
#redirect http://[redirectedwebsite]/
}
}

Kindly guide me in this regard.

This page http://www.opensourcehowto.org/how-t...ntication.html has more info. You're missing the case-insensitive line, but you may not want that. There are other goodies you have to shove in there, too, that are outlined on that page.
