compaqProliant DL360 smart Array with ubuntu feisty

I have searched everywhere and haven't been able to find a fix that worked for me. I keep getting stuck at the point of partitioning the drive, but it keeps giving me the error of the drive being to small to partition, it also gives me the error before that, that it can't figure out the geometry of the drive.

anyone know how to get by this? i have tried to make a new CD image and deleting the tape drive driver as that's what caused the problem for other people.
