Combine developer and live Mercurial repo at the same server - bedst conduct?


Hey I want to have a server which both contains the developer repo and the live repo of a website, what is the best conduct, to do this? I mean, is best to:
  • CHRoot to differnt sites ?
  • Keep on to different users
  • Is it at all, a great idea

You know, the basic stuff, I have had an SVN server before, with no greate reseults
