Clustering for VMware Server

Dear Guys,

i have a project to be implemented, i have furnished below

do reply with your suggestion,

Scenario :

i use Redhat 9.0 Linux with 2.4 Kernel

i like to make 5 Node cluster and run VMware server in Master Node,

create around 20 Virtual OS, where it should distribute the process to all 5 nodes.

i tried with Open mosix and it has its own kernel and where i could not able to install the VMware server on it.

and i could not able to modify openmosix kernel to install VMware.

any suggestion appreciated.

if this is being done at an enterprise level, then you'd be much better off exploration the ESX edition of VMware which does all this by itself. I can't really imagine having much luck buildnig a singel kernel for both vmware and openmosix. within the OSS side, i'd epxect you'd have much more sucess with Xen for full virtualization or possibly OpenVZ if you wish to run the same os on all instances

yes ESX is designed to be deployed across mutliple high end servers, moving VM's between hardware dynamically based on load and other facts. it's called vMotion.
