cluster using vmware server


Dear all
I want to implement Cluster (GFS) on my RHEL 5.2 running as guest on vmware server 2.1. what steps i should follow, any link,pdf, docs will be very helpfull for me.

Vmware ESX server will do clustering for you.

Hi,

try this doc: http://download3.vmware.com/vmworld/2006/dvt4696.pdf

You have to edit the vmx file under the vmachine's configuration directory to change the regular disk(s) to shared one.
So the nodes can reach the shared disk(s).

I hope it helps.

i successfully implemented cluster (oracle cluster file system) using vmware server 2.1. The steps i followed is shared on my blog http://linuxinterviews.blogspot.com
