client 64.59.168.13#23120: error sending response: host unreachable

Hello,

First off a bit about my server, it's a VPS running CentOS5 no ram issues or CPU issues, but i am having a named issue it seems.

Every morning i have to reset my box at everything timesout trying to connect to it. If i view /var/log/messages i see
"Mar 1 08:45:15 sulfiredesigns named[19526]: client 64.59.168.13#23120: error sending response: host unreachable"

This starts at 5am and ends when I restart my server, the ip that it's saying host unreachable seems to be a dns(?) server for my isp

09:01… Resolving 64.59.168.13
09:01… Resolved 64.59.168.13 to nsc1.ht.ok.shawcable.net

I have made sure that this ip is not being blocked my IPTables. I've searched google but haven't found anyone with as many entries as i have, when i add it up it totals over 1269 lines of "host unreachable" all with the same ip but different port.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

EDIT UPDATE: I was talking to a friend and he said it was APF, i had tried to install apf, and thought i had removed it which i didn't and there was a cron.daily script running apf so i removed it and we'll see what happens *fingers crossed*

[solved]

Hi, turns out it was APF. It was running a crontab script at 5am. Removed it from crontab and no more problems!
