Question ClamAV Scanning ZIP Files?

I have Clamav running on my Postfix server and don't know how to force Clamav to reject archived files with banned file extensions. For example, if you attempt to send me an .exe file via email, Postfix will reject this based on "/etc/postfix/mime_header_checks".

If you then zip the same .exe file up and attempt to send that attachment via email, Postfix / Clam allow this to come into mail system. I am warned about this however the fact is the executable is still passing through the mail server. Is there a way to force Clamav to scan the attachment and if it finds a banned file extension, to reject the entire message and not pass it on?

On its own, ClamAV won't do this. Try amavisd-new which will do it by default. You can also use it to call the clamd daemon for the email too.
