change 24hrs to 12hrs format in rhel 5.0


hi,

is it possible to change 24hrs into 12hrs time format in command line in rhel 5.0. if yes, procedure plz.

where do you see that 24hrs format? Can you please show an example? Where/what do you want to change at all?

[root@hp ~]# date
Thu Dec 3 21:25:10 IST 2015

this is what i need.

[root@hp ~]# date
Thu Dec 3 09:25:10pm IST 2015

you are aware that RHEL5.0 is not even supported by redhat
the current in the old legacy support 5 series is RHEL5.11

5.0 is 10 minor versions and 8 YEARS out of date
5.0 was released in March of 2007

also seeing as this IS redhat
you did buy the REQUIRED support contract 8 years ago ??????

have you read through the redhat documentation for the old 5 series


as for the "date" command
please read the manual for that command
