Centos 7 on HP ML310 gen8 v2

Hello everyone,

I need some advice from you. I have seen that centos 7 is certified to install on HP ML310 gen8 v2 but did anyone installed on it? was there some problems with RAID drivers or in general problems with drivers.

Thanks

You can check, if centos 7 installs correctly, when you try to install it.
You havent written which raid controller is installed.

Actually I think he specified it: B120i adapter.
I've been running Dell server kit nearly exclusively for the past decade so I'm not all that familiar with the HP controllers, but a quick search turned this up:

http://www.serveradminblog.com/2014/...troller-howto/

It rather sounds like this controller is one of the dreaded "FakeRAID" variety. That said, perhaps the above instructions might help--although they're specific to CentOS 6. However, one of the comments after the article includes a link for CentOS 7.

This seems to be about the only hurdle you might run into; I think the rest of the system should be fine...

Good luck!

correct my friend that's B120i adapter. Server will be shipped soon. RAID is important in my configuration I hope I will install driver or I can use centos 6 with no problem. First I will try centos 7.

Thank for your answer
