CentOS 6.x need newer version of package

Hello everybody!

The trouble is that I want to use cyrus-sasl-devel-2.1.25.rpm from centOS 7.
Because I need sasl_client_done() function to be implemented to build program for my particular needs, which is depends on it.

So the question is: is there any method (including compilation from src.rpm package) to backport version 2.1.25 to CentOS 6.7?

Repository version for CentOS 6 is 2.1.23.

Thanks in advance for your time!
Merry Christmas!

you do know you can not use cent7 rpms on cent 6

it is like using Windows10 *.exe's on windows7

it will NOT work out well

if you NEED!!!! to use a cent7 version of a program

Install CentOS 7.2 -- SIMPLE

have you tried it?
does centos do backporting? have you looked it up?
they have their own forums, too.

Everything is fine, folks!

Error was hidden in other compile-time depency library.

Problem solved!
