CentOS 6.6 multipath filling /var/log/messages

My /var/log/messages file is filling up every hour or so as tonnes of messages are being dropped into it from the multipath daemon.
The messages just loop over and over again for each SAN disk.
Any idea what's causing this and/or how to fix it?

It is possible you've set verbosity to a high level in /etc/multipath.conf?

From man page:
Quote:
verbosity
default verbosity. Higher values increase the verbosity level. Valid levels are between 0 and 6; default is 2

Yes, that is the problem. I changed the polling_interval and verbosity and restarted multipathd and the messages stopped.
Thanks
