Evidently the boot kernel doesn't like your hardware. What hardware are you using for your server?

forcevision 05-26-2009 01:38 PM

Well this:

Mainboard: asus P5Q SE
CPU: Intel® Core 2 Duo E7400 2,80GHz, 3MB, 1066MHz, S775
Memory: Corsair 4gb (KIT) DDR2 1066MHz/CL5/XMS2-8500
Harddisk: 500GB Western Digital Caviar Black WD5001AALS 32MB
DVD±RW Optiarc AD-7200S-0S Silver 20x Dual Layer SATA
Grafik: Sparkle Geforce 9500GT 512MB DDR2, DVI (HDMI), VGA, HDTV, SLI, 16X PCIe Low Profile
Power: 420W

This I use

There should be no problem with the hardware. Are you sure that your CDs are free of write errors? All of my Sony CD writers create errors, for example.

Yes it did a verify and test good.

But the server dident do the cd It was my computer and it is a asus cd/dvd-rw

*edit Now I found the problem. Its the dvd/cd-rw player on the server. Ubuntu have no driver to my player thats the problem.

Seems like this issue pops up from time to time.. Odd optical drives seem to be one common denominator

I would suggest you create a LiveUSB stick to install from.. I would bet the issue lies with your SATA Optical drive.
