cannot connect to my remote linux server, why?


i'd like to program on remote server, but surprised to find that i cannot log to that server:(
the issue that i cannot connect to my server, but after i type in username and password, the system just tells me that it refused to allocate pty for me?
what happened? the error msg is "Server. refused. to. allocate. pty", somebody have met this error msg sometime before, but it's different, he tried to push code, but what i am tring to do is log to the system

Someone at the console of the server you are trying to log in to has to run:
/sbin/MAKEDEV pty
/sbin/MAKEDEV tty
