Guys I have a CentOS 5 as a samba+ldap linux PDC.
It works excellent for all XP's which connect.
I need to add 5 Vista Boxes also.
When i try to join the domain windows says

The specified computer account could not be found. Contact an administrator to verify the account is in the domain. If the account has been deleted unjoin, reboot, and rejoin the domain
On the server in the log i get this. I desperately need help as we cannot afford AD for the sake of these five machines.

The good news is it creates the machine account in my ldap beautifully.
The second time when i try again it says

Im using the IDEALX scripts.
I have disabled "Digititally encrypt or sign secure channel data" and the remaining that i need to do in xp.
I have also changed Local security setting to Send LM and NTLM - Use NTLMv2 security if negotiated.
I find that lot of ubuntu users have had luck with vista as pdc...
Please let me know what input you need from my configs... Please help me friends.
