Can RHEL 5.3 cluster mount GFS2 filesystem

Hi

I have configured the RHEL cluster suite in RHEL 5.3 64 bit, I have formatted a storage 100 GB LVM with GFS2 filesystem with lock_dlm protocol default journel I have used 8 I have also added this filesystem in cluster resource in GFS resource option, all work fine cluster is able to remount this GFS2 LVM on another node in time of failover. But when I was checking cluster configuration file (/etc/cluster/cluster.conf) in resource syntex it was showing fs_type=gfs so my query is if it uses fs_type=gfs then is it also mount my formatted gfs2 lvm as gfs filesystem in my cluster node rather then gfs2 filesystem. Also how do i check that mounted filesystem is gfs or gfs2, Please clear my doubt.

Regards

Would love to "clear your doubt", but your question is hard to follow. You say everything is working now, file systems are mounted, etc., and it works on failover...but you want to know if it's going to work??

Seems it already is working. Have you contacted RedHat support? You're using RHEL, so you're paying for support from them, and I'm sure they can walk you through this pretty quick.

EDIT: From another thread:

Sorry, that makes no sense. I doubt ANY organization ANYWHERE would explicitly want you to run unlicensed, unpatched, unregistered software. Pay for support/patches/updates. If you're not paying for RHEL support, you shouldn't be using it for anything other than testing. Use CentOS instead, which is community-supported.

Hi Thanks but this OS is installed in Mobile operater company's Mobile switching center thus for security perspective they don't want that there OS should expose to internet, hope you can under stand.

Nope, sorry, can't understand it. Again, I doubt ANYONE who is serious about security, would actually WANT a system to run old, unpatched, and unregistered software.

Anyway but this issue has been resolved thanks for support!!

But now I am at different customer place there we he has setup of RHEL 5.3 32 bit and I installed and configured cluster suit on it, it runs fine on Virtual IP but when I configured GFS2 filesystem the cluster service gets failed, in the /var/log/messages it gives clusgmrd: mount -t gfs <block device path> failed. Please suggest why its not able to mount I have configured the same thing in cluster in RHEL 5.4 64 bit it was working fine. I have already sent the sosreport to RHEL also. pls help
