Smile Cached profiles on a ubuntu 8.04 PDC

I've been playing around with domain controllers (primary and backup) on an Ubuntu 8.04 Server Ed OS. I've managed to configure the PDC with roaming profiles but my boss has asked me to have a look into cached profiles.

Previously I was under the impression that cached profiles are not possible on a linux DC, is this still the case or have things changed in the latest versions of Ubuntu and Samba? If so, how?

Thanks in advance
