Block source names/IP addresses for Squid

The organisation I work for uses Squid as a web proxy.
Could someone kindly tell me how I can block certain XP clients from using the web proxy service?

I've already tried the following in squid.conf, but it did not work properly:
acl banned src test-pc01
http_access deny banned

BTW, the linux box can resolve netbios names - which is useful because the XP clients have dynamic IPs.

Thanks for your time.

src is for IP addresses. If you want to use domain names you need srcdomain, and AFAIK you're supposed to put a dot in front, like:
acl banned srcdomain .test-pc01
http_access deny banned
If you try this and it doesn't work please make sure you provide as much detail as possible when you post back and not just a "it doesn't work". Like maybe show us the exact error message you get or what the log file says.
