and to add
NEVER NEVER use the "-y " option in uninstalling software
and READ REALLY READ what yum wants to uninstall or install

a typo can do you in

Thanks a lot i apreciate your advice,i will never do an operation in root before being sure that will not have a terrible fact on my system .

Concerning Syslog can u type the complete link where can i find the configuration tutorial?
