Question benefit of s-permissions and t-permissions.


hi,
i want to know what is use or benefit of using s and t permission?
i have used them but could not understand its uses.please explain me with suitable example.Also tell me about umask command to flag on s and t.

Hi,

Please try to elaborate what you want to access.I think you want to know

Code:
chmod +t /home/user
and

Code:
chmod +g /home/user
In short you want to know about: Set-Group_Id (SGID) and Sticky bit
